We are a collaborative research effort between scientists at the University of Jena (Germany), Nikhef (Amsterdam), Federal University of ABC (Brazil), Princeton University (US), Florida Altantic University (US), INFN (Italy), and other institutions. We perform 3+1 numerical relativity simulations of compact binaries spacetimes supporting the emerging fields of gravitational wave and multi-messenger astronomy.
Our research is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG); the European Research Council (ERC); the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP); the Italian Nuclear Physics Institute (INFN); the National Science Foundation (NSF).
Our research benefits of computational resources from Gauss Center for Supercomputing (GSC), CINECA (SCAI-ISCRA), National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), PRACE, XSEDE, von Neumann-Institut für Computing (NIC). Our simulations run on largest supercomputers including SuperMUC at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) in Germany, and Blue Waters at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications in the USA.
